Kent Plantation House to Host An Old Fashioned Christmas

ALEXANDRIA, LA – An Old Fashioned Christmas will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, from 4-6 p.m. at Kent Plantation House.

Activities will include stringing cranberries and popcorn and making paper chains to decorate the Kent House tree. Children will make corn husk dolls, yarn dolls and an old fashioned ornament to take home to place on their own trees. They will also decorate pine cones with bird seed and fruit to hang outside in their yards for birds and squirrels.

There will be storytelling and vintage music and dance and bells to ring, just as children celebrated in the 19th century. And, of course, a visit from Papa Noel!Admission is free.
