Where to Find Santa Claus in Shreveport-Bossier
The holiday season isn’t complete without a personal visit with Santa. Here is a list of some of the places Santa will be taking pictures and collecting Christmas wish lists over the next few weeks.
From now until Dec. 24, Santa’s Wonderland is open at Bass Pro Shops. The Santa’s Wonderland experience features remote control trucks, a laser and foam toy arcade, Lincoln Logs building areas, arts and crafts, coloring stations and the opportunity to write a letter to Santa. All guests will receive a free 4×6 picture with Santa Claus, and the option to purchase premium photo packages. Santa’s Wonderland is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
Every Friday-Sunday until Dec. 15 and every night Dec. 16-23, Santa will be at Christmas in Roseland. At this annual event, the American Rose Center is covered in thousands of lights, holiday displays, and Christmas cards to the community. The highly anticipated the Roseland Express train, Christmas Markets, live entertainment, and concession stands are returning this year. Christmas in Roseland is open from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., daily. Admission is $5 per person or $20 per car load.
Every Tuesday-Sunday until Dec. 22, visitors can join Santa at the Red River Express Cruise to the North Pole. On the way to pick up Mr. Claus, guests will drink hot chocolate, sing Christmas carols and listen to Mrs. Claus tell stories. Guests will receive a silver sleigh “believe” bell with ticket purchase, as well as a souvenir hot chocolate mug and commemorative polar bear for purchase separately. The Red River Express Cruise sets sail at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $25-$30.
On Dec. 7, Dec. 14 and Dec. 21, families can eat Breakfast with Santa at Jubilee Zoo. Guests visit with Santa, feed the animals, create their own stuffed animal, and enjoy a catered breakfast from Tejas. The first 50 people to sign up for each date will get personalized thank you notes from Santa. Breakfast with Santa at Jubilee Zoo is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets are $15-$38.
On Dec. 7, Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival will return for its 25th year at Earl G. Williamson Park. This family-friendly event includes a variety of artists, food vendors, live entertainment, and more. Children can play in a bounce house, receive a free gift from Santa after sharing their holiday wish list, and more. Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival is from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
The KCS Holiday Express will be stopping in Shreveport on Dec. 9. Each holiday season, this festive train brings Santa Claus and his elves to visit cities throughout the KCS railway network. Attendees can visit with Santa Claus and walk through train cars filled with holiday displays. The KCS Holiday Express will open at 4 p.m. and stay open as long as there are guests in line, weather permitting. Admission is free.
