Check Out These Four Places to See Christmas Lights in Shreveport-Bossier

One of the best parts of the Christmas season is the lights that go up all around town. From individual houses to businesses, people all over Shreveport-Bossier have been hard at work creating displays and light shows that represent what the Christmas spirit means to them. Whether you’re looking for a festive Instagram photo or looking for inspiration for your own decorations, here are some of the best places to see Christmas lights this season.

The American Rose Center has been transformed into a winter wonderland for Christmas in Roseland. Visitors can walk through thousands of lights, multiple lighted displays, and see giant Christmas cards painted by local school children. Christmas in Roseland is from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday-Sunday until Dec. 15; and every night from Dec. 16-23. Admission is $5 per person or $20 per carload. The last car is admitted at 9:30 p.m. Stop by the Downtown Shreveport Visitor Center to pick up a $5 off car load coupon while supplies last.

Dec. 19-23, tour the beautifully decorated Shreveport Aquarium and celebrate the return of the holiday Laser Light Show under the dome of the arboretum. This laser show is a celebration of stunning choreographed laser beams and colorful light effects performed to traditional holiday favorites. Shows are at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8-$13 and include a tour of the Shreveport Aquarium, which is also decorated for the season.

Between now and Dec. 31, don’t miss the Boardwalk Blizzard at Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets. Throughout the day, shoppers will get to experience a snow flurry as part of the holiday celebrations. Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets houses stores such as Bass Pro Shops, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Bath & Body Works, Levi’s Outlet Store, and more. While you’re shopping, see one of the largest outdoor Christmas trees in the region and stroll through the streets lined with lights and wreaths. Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Boardwalk Blizzard takes place at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday-Friday; 12:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Saturday; and 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Sunday.
