Celebrate the Season in Ruston

There’s just something magical about Christmas in Ruston! Downtown Ruston kicks off the festivities in November with Holiday Open House and Kickoff to Christmas, featuring a tree-lighting ceremony, horse-drawn carriage rides, a visit from Santa, and more fun for the entire family. NCLAC’s Holiday Arts Crawl is another downtown event you won’t want to miss, featuring art, music, food, and dozens of artists and makers selling unique, handmade gifts.  

December is always packed with holiday cheer in Lincoln Parish. The first weekend in December, catch Ruston Community Theatre’s annual holiday play on the Dixie Theatre stage and be sure to stop into a downtown restaurant for their holiday specials before or after the show. Then head just a few miles north to Lincoln Parish Park for the annual Lincoln Lights Up the Pines drive-through light display. This popular holiday attraction features thousands of lights, festive displays, and decked out vintage campers all celebrating the holiday season the first and second weekends in December. And you can’t miss the classic Christmas parade that rolls through town on a designated Saturday in December.
