Keep Your Holiday Shopping Stress-Free in Shreveport-Bossier

Some people dread the holiday season growing closer because shopping for gifts can be so stressful and overwhelming that it takes away from the spirit of giving. Giving gifts should be something you get to enjoy as much as the person receiving them does. This year Shreveport-Bossier has an abundance of events that are designed to help put the fun back into giving gifts.

If you’re looking for one-of-a-kind gifts, Holidaze at Artspace would be the perfect place to start. From Nov. 8 to Dec. 22, Artspace will be filling their space with paintings, handmade ornaments, quilts, and more original art created by Northwest Louisiana artists. Holidaze at Artspace gives you the chance to support local artists, as well as make sure you’re giving gifts that you won’t find anywhere else. Artspace is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday. Visit www.artspaceshreveport.com to check their schedule of events and find out when you can enjoy live music as you shop.

Les Boutiques de Noel will turn the Bossier Civic Center into a one-stop, holiday shopping extravaganza from Nov. 15-18. In addition to handmade gifts and pop-up shops from local vendors, the Bossier Parish Community College Theatre Department will be performing excerpts from their Christmas show to keep you entertained while you find the perfect gifts. Les Boutiques de Noel will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $5-$20 and can be purchased at www.lesboutiquesdenoel.com.

If your holiday season tends to be hectic, you won’t want to miss Tinsel on Nov. 30. This shopping event features food, entertainment, exclusive discounts, and a chauffer service that takes shoppers to popular retailers along Line Avenue to make holiday shopping fun and easy. Tinsel will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.tinselshreveport.com

Christmas and Cocktails is a unique, after-hours shopping experience in Bossier City on Dec. 7. Each participating location will have specialty cocktails, as well as a punch card that makes shoppers eligible for the grand prizing drawing that will take place during the after party at Flying Heart Brewery. Christmas and Cocktails will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, visit the event page on www.facebook.com/shopbirdwells.
