School’s out, Sci-Port’s IN!

December 22, 23, 29 & 30

Holiday Camps are themed and planned to accommodate specific grade groups, as follows: K-1st Graders, 2nd-3rd Graders, 4th-5th Graders. Each camper must be CURRENTLY enrolled in the corresponding grade groups listed above for the 2008-2009 school year. Themes vary day to day.

Drop off is located inside the center in Swepco Demonstration Theater everyday. Pick-up will be available curbside or inside the building in the Pendulum area.

Science Sleuths
Monday, November 24
Solve a mystery! Extract your own DNA, learn how to fingerprint, and use microscopic tools to analyze crime scene evidence. Campers will also view the IMAX film Grand Canyon Adventure.

Journey to the Center of the Earth
Tuesday, November 25
Grab your gear and join us for an exciting adventure! On this journey campers will eat their way through the layers of the Earth, devour a volcano, and make their own rocks. Campers will also experience the IMAX film Journey into Amazing Caves.

Little Gobblers
Wednesday, November 26
Learn about our favorite Thanksgiving friend, the turkey! Campers will trot like a turkey, hunt for a turkey's favorite meal and even create a sticky Thanksgiving meal for the birds in their own backyard. Campers will also view the IMAX film Animalopolis.

Snazzy Science
Monday, December 22
Be a snazzy scientist! Create your own ooey gooey gloop, claydough and experience some crazy, mad science tricks! Campers will also view the IMAX film Animalopolis.

Wonkalicous
Tuesday, December 23
Take a journey through Wonka's candy shop! Create your own chocolate river, wiggly jiggly meal, and your own candy carrying boat! Campers will also view the IMAX film Santa vs. the Snowman.

Cool Science
Monday, December 29
Ready to chill? Examine the cold with chilling science experiments! Campers will make instant snow, everlasting ice, and eat yummy frozen chocolate bowls! We'll watch the IMAX Film Hurricane on the Bayou, too.

Alien Invasion
Tuesday, December 30
Is there life out there? Campers will design their own alien specimen! Campers will also make their own alien ooze and view the IMAX film Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon. It's an out-of-this-world experience!

Journey to the Center of the Earth
Tuesday, November 25
Grab your gear and join us for an exciting adventure! On this journey you can eat your way through the layers of the Earth, explore gems and minerals, and make your own slimy glo-worm. Campers will also experience the IMAX film Journey into Amazing Caves.

Turkey Science
Wednesday, November 26
Experience the science behind a Thanksgiving meal! Catapult a mini turkey, learn the parts of an egg, make gravy and whipped cream, and even fly turkey gliders from Sci-Port's second floor balcony! Campers will also view the IMAX film Animalopolis.

Toy Workshop
Monday, December 22
Make your own toys and learn how they work! Campers will make silly putty, bouncing balls, claydough and Yo-yos! Each camp will view the IMAX film Animalopolis.

Wonkalicous
Tuesday, December 23
Take a journey through Wonka's candy shop! Create your own chocolate river, wiggly jiggly meal, candy carrying boat, and even break walls of ice with hot chocolate filled water guns! Campers will also view the IMAX film Santa vs. the Snowman.
