Nov.18:  Christmas in the Patch.  This annual event is the beginning of the holiday season.  The lighting of over 75 star-topped oil derricks, downtown buildings and streets and giant Christmas tree takes place as well as entertainment for the family.  World’s Richest Acre, downtown on Commerce Street, 6 p.m.  Free.  For information call Kilgore Historical Preservation Foundation at 903-984-1333 or www.khpf.org

Nov. 18-Jan. 1:  Nightly viewing of holiday oil derrick lighting.  View more than 75 holiday-lighted, star-topped oil derricks throughout the city with the largest concentration at the World’s Richest Acre, downtown.  For information call Kilgore Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau at 903-984-5022 or www.kilgorechamber.com.

Nov. 26-Dec. 19.:  Danville Christmas Tree Farm.  Large selection of cut-your-own Christmas trees.  Enjoy hayride and hot chocolate while selecting your tree.  Located at 2366 Danville Road.  For information contact 903-984-0885.

December

Dec. 4:  Holiday Happenings in Historic Homes.  Tour several historic homes built during the “Oil Boom.”  Benefiting the Kilgore Historical Preservation Foundation.  Admission.  For information call 903-984-1333 or www.khpf.org.

Dec. 10 & 11-Mt. Kilgore Snow Hill Experience.  Come celebrate the holiday season as we offer snow in Kilgore on the Mt. Kilgore Snow Hill.
